Baking and cooking have always been passionate past-times. My earliest memories are those of my grandmother putting softened butter into a bowl and adding brown sugar before she would have us "squish" the mixture together with our hands. It was probably a great way to keep her "baking assistants" busy. As my children were growing, I would sell cookies around the holidays under Danielle B's Goodies. There were some Christmas' where I made more than 5000 cookies. I created a brand for what I did and, to this day, I still have people ask if I make cookies during the holidays. Though baking is my true love, cooking is definitely a close second. Trying new recipes, sharing them in the company of friends and family, along with a good bottle of wine, is always comforting as well as delicious.
So, how did I get here? Over the past few years, I have been using social media as a way to create communities. Today, I teach portions of social media as part of my job as a Senior Business Advisor with the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Network. In order for me to better understand the system, I have to get my hands into the mixture. I hope that by sharing my love for cooking with the essentials of blogging, people will understand that writing about their knowledge of a product or service can be as easy as making chocolate chip cookies. So, feel free to blog with me. Share a story or recipe and you can be one of our guest bloggers and we can add you to our front page. This is where stories are told and great food created.
Jeff finds and creates many of these recipes with me. This is definitely a two person operation. Without Jeff, this blog wouldn't have the variety and degrees of difficulty you will come to enjoy.
